Are you 18-24 years old and haven't been in education or full time work in the past 12 months? Have you ever considered a job in security? If so we may have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for young people who are keen to get into the security industry. We are offering a funded, SIA accredited Door Supervision course for those that meet the requirements. This does not cover the cost of your SIA badge but does provide you with the training and qualification and gets you one big step closer to working within the security industry.

Door Supervision Course:

It is a perfect opportunity for anyone over the age of 18 wishing to get started in the Private Security Industry, as it allows those who become badge holders to work at any licensed premises, as well as unlicensed ones.

The successful completion of this course gives you the qualification required by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) in order for you to apply for your badge.

The Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry involves the completion of 4 modules:

Unit 1 – Working in the Private Security Industry

Unit 2 – Working as a Door Supervisor

Unit 3 – Conflict Management

Unit 4 – Physical Intervention


18+ years of age.

I.D (passport, driving license, etc,)

Proof of address within last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, etc,)

Must NOT have been working full time (30+ hrs week) in the past 12 months.

Must NOT have been in education in the past 12 months.

Course info:

Course cost: Free if you meet requirements for funding (normally £185)

Course duration: 4 days

Course start time (each day): 09:00

Course finish time (each day): 17:00

Examination at the end of the course

Various start dates available.

You have to apply for your badge through the SIA. This costs £220 for your first badge.

Those that show the initiative, drive, enthusiasm, skills and ability to do well in the security industry may have the chance of employment if they impress their trainers enough. For these individuals the cost of your SIA badge would be funded for you.
