Gore Dinah is a London based Pop-Punk-Rock act in need of a female keyboard player for gigging and recording.

We play fast, punky, catchy tunes with lots of swear words, and nonsensical lyrics with regular reference to sex, alcohol, drugs and violence. We are neither alckies, junkies or violent people. Its the music we like and what we play.

We also like skulls, glittery kitsch things, horrible patterned fabric, leopard prints, B movies and Rock n'Roll.

Our current line up is 1 lead vocal, 1 backing vocal, 1 rhythm guitar, 1 bass, 1 drums.

A Moog, Farfisa or Hammond Diva is really what we're after.

You can listen to some of our material by checking out Gore Dinah on Soundcloud. The current batch of recordings are mixed waaaaaaayyyyy cleaner than we actually sound.

This is partly why we are looking to produce new recordings with you.

We exclusively play original material. Some of our influences are Hole, The Pixies, The Stray Cats, The Clash, Madness, The Stooges, The Slits, The Violent Femmes, The Rita Mitsukos, The Cure, Jack White, The Kills, The Strokes, Nirvana, The HeadCoats (and HeadCoatees!), The Primitives, Daisy Chainsaw and many, many others...

We currently have gigs booked till late October. These are in mostly really cool and pretty iconic venues, such as The Alley Cat, The Good Ship, The Workshop or The Water Rats.

Because of these venues policies, you must be over 21, or they simply won't let you in.

Otherwise, there is no upper age limit.

Our current members are aged between their 20's to their 50's, which also reflects the demographics of our audience.

We believe that Rock n'Roll is ageless and so you must be cool playing, drinking and hanging out with people who are either younger or older than you. I'm like 100 and I like to party. You must be cool with that too.

Our current line up is 3 guys and 1 girl. We are trying to get a better boy to girl ratio on stage. This is why we are specifically interested in female applicants.

What we need:

Because of the nature of the act, we will always privilege attitude over musical abilities, although ownership of a keyboard and the ability to play 10-15 songs in a row while keeping relative tempo is a clear advantage.

The ideal candidate will be able to pick up a song and make it her own.

The ideal candidate will also be willing to sing backing vocals.

We welcome applicants from all over the world but fluency and literacy in English is an absolute must.

An ability to remember simple tunes and lyrics and to sing them relatively in tune is a definite advantage, so is a fondness for basic, repetitive, loud tunes.

Once again, the material performed contains not only explicit lyrics and a regular use of swearwords but also references to drugs and violence.

We are irreligious, irreverent, totally not creepy and super nice and expect our new bassist to be the same!

Please don't apply if you have issues with people from a different country, ethnicity, colour, social background or age group.

Please don't apply if you have issues with being chilled in front of strange people such as some venue managers or audience members.

No racists, no creepshows, no junkies/alckies no divas.

We'll want to meet up with you before booking a rehearsal.

We hope you understand.

If this sounds like you, please PM us or contact me on 07981825264 and we'll reply immediately!
