Edinburgh University Students’ Association is looking for a Bars Team Leader join the Commercial team, working across all our Bars.
At Edinburgh University Students’ Association, we run 11 bars over 3 locations all year round, increasing to 19 bars during the Edinburgh Festival in August, where we run some of the busiest bars at the Fringe. We currently have an organisational annual turnover of over £8 million, of which the Commercial Team contributes over two thirds.
Salary: £15,371per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, including regular weekend and evening work.
Annual Leave: 35 days
The Bars Team Leader will work across all our Bars, ensuring that customer service and food/ beverage quality is maintained at a consistently high standard. The postholders will be responsible for leading their allocated bar teams, ensuring the smooth operation of the outlet and the highest possible standards of customer service and product quality at all times.
This role would suit enthusiastic and confident team leaders with demonstrable experience of having successfully led bar teams. We are looking for people who set high expectations of both themselves and others, with a passion for delivering great service, and who take pride in the performance of their team.
Although the postholders will work mainly on bars drinks service, they will also have an operational understanding of food service within bar areas and will work closely with the Catering staff on ensuring high standards of service in these areas
Edinburgh University Students’ Association is a charity which represents over 30,000 students studying at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to our peer projects we also provide support through student services, representation and democracy, volunteering opportunities and trained advisers. Running four distinctive venues across the city (King’s Buildings, Pleasance, Potterrow and Teviot), we provides a range of commercial services – award winning entertainments programme, bars, cafés, catering services and gym. Edinburgh University Students’ Association also runs many of the bar and catering outlets during the Edinburgh Festival.
